American Career College

ACC’s Dallas-Fort Worth campus, in Suite 101 on North Central Expressway in Richardson, is its only Texas site and its newest. It teaches two programs: the Radiography AAS (108 quarter credits, 1,040 clinical hours, about 20 months) and the Associate Degree in Nursing, which ACC’s July 2026 brochure lists as pending Texas Board of Nursing approval. ACC’s diplomas and other degrees are not offered here, and we found no published Texas prices.

Arizona College of Nursing

The Dallas campus on the LBJ Freeway has full approval from the Texas Board of Nursing and a Texas Workforce Commission Certificate of Approval. The board’s 2024 report shows an 88.64% first-time NCLEX-RN pass rate (39 of 44); we could not read the 2025 report. The school reported 85% placement for 2024–25. Tuition is $900 per credit, or $108,000 for 120 credits (2026–27). The Fort Worth campus operates as an extension of this program.

The Fort Worth campus on Western Place is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing as an extension of the Dallas campus rather than as a separate program. CCNE notification is pending until its first students reach Semester 5, and it has no graduates or pass rates yet. Tuition matches Dallas at $900 per credit, or $108,000 for 120 credits (2026–27).

Arlington Career Institute

Arlington Career Institute, a for-profit college in Grand Prairie, Texas, focuses on legal and healthcare education, preparing students for quick entry into their chosen careers. Many programs can be completed in as little as 10 months, allowing students to start their careers swiftly. The school provides morning, evening, and online classes, along with externships for hands-on learning and career placement support to help graduates secure jobs. Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and other bodies, Arlington Career Institute maintains a 100% acceptance rate, ensuring wide accessibility for prospective students.

Asher College

Asher’s Dallas campus, added in 2012, occupies Suite 650 on the sixth floor of the Prosperity Bank Building on the LBJ Freeway (I-635) between Greenville and Abrams. Its campus page lists the IT programs (Cloud and Computer Security, Computer and Network Technician, Computer Operations and Security, Network and Computer Systems Administration), Health Information, Medical Billing and Coding, Pharmacy Technician, Business Administration and Office Accounting. Pharmacy technician candidates passed the PTCE at 62% (10 of 16, in a report running to November 2025). Asher says Dallas was a Gold Military Friendly school for 2024–25 and names CompuCom, Ericsson and Samsung among local employers of its graduates.

Aveda Institutes

Aveda Arts Dallas, on Park Lane, teaches 1,500-hour cosmetology ($23,625), 1,000-hour cosmetology ($18,975) and 750-hour esthiology ($14,925), totals for the 16 November 2026 start. Full-time classes run Monday to Thursday, 9 to 5:30, and the school reported a 100% licensure pass rate for 2024.

Aviation Institute of Maintenance

AIM’s Dallas Metro campus is in Irving and teaches only the Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P) certificate, with day, evening and weekend classes. The 55,000-square-foot campus has an on-site FAA written-test center and a veterans center, and Safran funded five $1,000 scholarships and employer events here in October 2025.

CCI Training Center

The Arlington office, between Dallas and Fort Worth, is CCI Training Center’s only campus and the base for all of its programs. Classes are run from here by live online instruction, which the school calls Interactive Distance Learning, or in a blended format. Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician and Radiology Technician (Limited Scope) students do their externships at sites the school arranges near where they live. CCI has been approved by the Texas Workforce Commission since 1991, according to its August 2026 catalog.

CLC, Inc. began in 2000 as a non‑profit dedicated to helping underemployed workers in Tarrant County gain quality trade skills.  The school offers hands‑on certificate programs—with class sizes of 8–20 students—in fields like HVAC, Welding, Aerospace, CNC Machining, Building Trades, Forklift & Logistics, Maintenance & Repair, and QuickBooks/Bookkeeping.

All courses operate Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM, with program lengths varying by trade (students should contact the school for specific duration details).
Tuition runs from $1,500 for Forklift & Logistics and Bookkeeping programs up to $6,500 for HVAC Technology, with other programs costing between $1,500 and $3,500.

CLC, Inc. holds a Texas Career School license and GI Bill accreditation, provides personalized instruction, and offers job placement assistance through partnerships with local public and private organizations.

Compu-Med’s only Texas campus, on the LBJ Freeway, opened in June 2025 and is approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. It teaches hybrid Dental Assistant and Medical Assistant diplomas, Medical Billing & Coding by distance learning, EMT, and a 75-hour, four-week Home Health Aide course taught in person; the Dallas catalog also lists 20-month associate degrees in dental and medical assisting. No nursing program is taught here, and RN to BSN is not offered here until the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approves it.

Concorde’s Dallas campus on Greenville Avenue teaches vocational nursing, dental hygiene and assisting, diagnostic and cardiovascular sonography, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, surgical technology, physical therapist assistant, phlebotomy, sterile processing and medical assisting. It is accredited by ACCSC. On Niche it averages 4.03 out of 5 from 86 reviews.

Concorde’s Grand Prairie campus is the Texas campus for sleep (polysomnographic) and neurodiagnostic technology, both with continuing CAAHEP accreditation. It also teaches vocational nursing, dental hygiene and assisting, radiologic technology, surgical technology, phlebotomy, sterile processing and medical assisting. On Niche it averages 4.17 out of 5 from 206 reviews.

Cortiva Institute

Arlington, on West Interstate 20, is Cortiva’s only Texas campus and a branch of the St. Petersburg, FL campus, accredited by ACCSC and licensed by TDLR. Only Arlington teaches all of massage, esthetics, nails, cosmetology and barbering: 600-hour massage therapy ($13,939 total, June 2026 sheet), a 750-hour Esthetician program, Manicurist, Manicurist/Esthetician, a 1,000-hour Cosmetology Operator program and Class A Barber. Its 2023–24 massage cohort reported 80% completion and a 100% pass rate for the 46 graduates who sat every part of the licence exam. Niche lists evening programs here.

Dallas College

El Centro Campus on Main Street downtown is the home of Dallas College nursing (ADN, vocational nursing and the online RN-BSN) and most of its allied health programs, though most health labs are at the nearby Downtown Health Sciences Center. Its ADN graduates had a 96% NCLEX-RN pass rate in 2024-25. It also teaches the ABA-approved paralegal program, fire protection, interior design, architecture, fashion and Cisco networking. In June 2026 the college chose a developer for a planned downtown campus to replace the El Centro site, targeted for about 2032.

Mountain View Campus in Oak Cliff, southwest Dallas, is the only campus teaching the Occupational Therapy Assistant AAS, an in-person program of about 35 hours a week. It also teaches the ADN, whose graduates passed the NCLEX-RN at 94% in 2024-25, plus welding, robotics and industrial automation, CADD and criminal justice.

North Lake Campus in Irving, west of Dallas, is the only campus offering the Commercial Electrical Technology AAS and the Mortgage Banking AAS. It also teaches the ADN (86% NCLEX-RN pass rate in 2024-25), construction management, land surveying, logistics, HVAC, plumbing, welding and video technology. The campus page also mentions automotive and auto body, but the college’s program list does not place either here, so check before applying.

Richland Campus in northeast Dallas is the only campus teaching the Precision Machining Technology, Cyber Security and game design (Interactive Simulation and Game Technology) AAS degrees, and it hosts the Bachelor of Applied Technology in Software Development in person. It also teaches robotics and industrial automation, EMS and the college’s ASHP/ACPE-accredited pharmacy technician program. Its theater program is a transfer track, not career training.

The Downtown Health Sciences Center on North Market Street is part of El Centro and is where most of its health programs have their labs: nursing and vocational nursing, diagnostic medical and cardiac sonography, invasive cardiovascular technology, surgical technology, dental hygiene, respiratory care, medical assisting and medical laboratory technology. Vocational nursing here is a daytime-only, one-year program.

The Culinary, Pastry and Hospitality Center on Webb Chapel Road in north Dallas is where Dallas College trains culinary and pastry students, with 10 kitchens and a restaurant. It teaches the Culinary Arts and Bakery/Pastry AAS degrees, credit certificates and continuing-education courses, including preparation for American Culinary Federation credentials.

The Lancaster Workforce Development Center in southern Dallas offers workforce training in construction trades, mechatronics, electrical work and computer certifications, along with entrepreneurship courses and adult education classes. Its mechatronics offer includes continuing-education PLC and robotics courses.

The South Dallas Training Center runs an 8-week, grant-funded Electrical and Construction program that is free to eligible participants. It covers NCCER Level 1 construction and electrical, OSHA 30 safety training and preparation for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation apprentice electrician registration.

The Workforce Center at RedBird, in southwest Dallas, belongs to the college’s School of Manufacturing and Industrial Technology and is listed as one of the teaching sites for Aviation Maintenance Technology. The center’s own page names no other programs, so ask the college which courses meet here.

The Aerospace and Aviation Hangar at Dallas Executive Airport is where Dallas College teaches Aviation Maintenance Technology. Students take General, Airframe and Powerplant certificates over 13 months of daytime classes to prepare for the FAA A&P exams; total tuition is $24,864 (October 2026).

DeVry University

It is now DeVry’s only Texas campus, as San Antonio no longer appears on DeVry’s lists.

ForgeNow specializes in vocational training for skilled trades, offering programs in HVAC Maintenance, Plumbing, Electrical Wiring, and Facilities Maintenance. Established in 2018 and rebranded in 2020, the institution focuses on preparing students for immediate job opportunities through immersive seven-week programs. Classes combine classroom instruction with extensive lab-based training and include externships for real-world experience. Tuition is approximately $12,000 per program, covering tools, work boots, and other materials, with financing options and grants available. Accredited by ACCET and approved by the Texas Workforce Commission, ForgeNow maintains rigorous standards for quality and workforce readiness.

IDTC Career Center

IDTC’s only campus is Suite 115 at 2501 Avenue J in Arlington, in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The school’s certificate programs are based here: medical assistant, medical office assistant, medical billing and coding, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy, patient care technician, EKG technician, dental assistant and network support technician. Some classes meet at unnamed extension sites in the Metroplex, and clinical experience is off-site. An affiliated clinical laboratory occupies Suite 100 of the same building, and the center is an official GED testing site.

Lincoln Tech

Lincoln College of Technology Grand Prairie, between Dallas and Fort Worth, teaches automotive, diesel, electrical, HVAC and welding with pipe. ACCSC named it a School of Excellence in 2026, and 72% of its 2020–21 full-time starters graduated within 150% of normal time. Its catalog also lists a BMW automotive track, and Automotive cost $39,956 on its 2025 tuition sheet.

Milan Institute

This Milan Institute of Cosmetology campus in Denton, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, was announced in June 2025 for an August 2025 opening in a 6,746 sq ft space on South Loop 288. It teaches Cosmetology, Advanced Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetician, Advanced Esthetician (TX) and Manicurist. It holds provisional additional-location accreditation from NACCAS, not yet full accreditation. Posted hours are weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MyComputerCareer

The Arlington campus, on East Lamar Boulevard, is approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. It teaches the full MCC line-up: IT Security & Administration, the Cyber Warrior Program for people leaving the military, the Cyber Security Specialist and Cyber Security Engineer certificates, and the associate degree.

The Dallas campus on Greenville Avenue teaches all five MCC programs, from IT Security & Administration to the Cyber Security Engineer certificate and the associate degree. It is also one of the two campuses that run the 12-week Cyber Warrior Program for online students.

North Central Texas College

The downtown Denton campus opened for the 2019-20 year in a 45,214-square-foot building. It teaches in-person and hybrid core courses for the Health Science, Business and General Studies pathways and houses a Continuing Education office. Academic courses for the Aviation Maintenance Technology AAS are taught mainly here; the hands-on airframe and powerplant training is at US Aviation Academy’s facility on Spartan Dr. in Denton. Students have a free 306-space parking garage across the street and The Mane Stop student hub.

Champions Circle is a training center rather than a full campus, in far north Fort Worth on SH 114 by the Alliance corridor, near Roanoke and Northlake. It opened on 14 August 2024 for robotics, health care, construction and plumbing training. The HVAC degree can be completed here or at Gainesville, and non-credit health courses meet here: Central Service/Sterile Processing in Fall 2026, with evening classes, and Phlebotomy in Summer 2026.

Northwest Lineman College

The Denton campus serves the Dallas area; NLC describes it as 40 miles from Dallas. It names no accreditor and holds a Texas Workforce Commission Certificate of Approval, school number S3713. Facilities include a 10,000-square-foot indoor smart-grid and transformer lab, a 7,000-square-foot gas fusion and plumbing lab, a 14-acre field area and five classrooms, though NLC offers no gas program. The 2024/25 catalog gave a $21,784.10 total for a term and class times of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Housing help comes through Collegiate Housing Services.

Ogle School

Ogle School was founded in 1973 after the owner of a successful salon recognized a critical need for higher-quality beauty education. The school provides an Ogle School Diploma after training aspiring cosmetologists and estheticians in technical skills, business knowledge, and practical experience with real, paying customers.

Program costs are relatively accessible, falling between $13,125 and $17,700 depending on the selected track.

Full-time programs can be completed quickly, with cosmetology taking about seven months and esthetics taking as little as five months, though part-time options are also available. All programs run Monday through Friday only, with flexible class schedules including morning-afternoon, afternoon-evening, or part-time morning/evening sessions.

Ogle School in Dallas, Texas, offers accredited Cosmetology and Esthetics programs with flexible fast-track schedules to fit various lifestyles.

Remington College

Remington College Dallas moved from Eastgate Drive in Garland to the LBJ Freeway in about 2022; the building also houses Remington’s headquarters and its online division. The campus teaches HVAC (diploma and associate), Construction & Building Maintenance, medical assisting, Medical Assisting with X-Ray Technician (diploma and associate), Culinary Skills Essentials and Culinary Management, associate degrees in Cybersecurity and Paralegal, and a Gaming Design & Esports Management bachelor’s. Business administration and criminal justice are not taught here.

Roadmaster Drivers School

Roadmaster’s Dallas location, on Peterbilt Avenue, opened in March 2018 and, according to the school, is approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. Its location page lists on-site CDL skills testing. It teaches the full-time Class A course, separately from the Fort Worth location that opened in 2022.

Roadmaster’s Fort Worth location, on Successful Drive, opened in spring 2022 and is approved by the Texas Workforce Commission, according to the school. It teaches the full-time Class A CDL course on weekdays, with new classes starting each week. The catalog and the website give different zip codes for this address.

Sage Truck Driving School

SAGE’s Dallas office is in Suite 200B on North Westmoreland Road, with driving practice at a range on Jackson Street in Irving. Its 2025 catalog schedules the 150-hour Class A program over about 12 weeks, with classes Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, and driving in four-hour day or night sessions seven days a week. It also lists Class B and refresher courses.

South College

South College’s first Texas campus, in the Park West 2 building, opened in October 2025. Every program here is new: the ASN (Texas board approval July 2025, ACEN candidate), surgical technology (initial CAAHEP accreditation October 2026), radiography (seeking JRCERT accreditation), sonography, a medical assisting certificate, dental hygiene (initial CODA accreditation, first class August 2026) and respiratory therapy (provisional, September 2026). Doctor of Physical Therapy candidacy has been applied for.

South Texas Vocational Technical Institute 

STVT’s Arlington campus shares its building with owner Ancora Education’s headquarters, and its Arlington Chamber ribbon cutting was reported in December 2023. Its campus page lists Diesel Heavy Truck Technician, Electrical, HVAC and Basic Refrigeration, and Medical Clinical Assistant, but STVT’s 2025 ACCSC report shows no starts here for Automotive, Diesel or Electrical, so ask which programs are enrolling. The same report shows Class A and Class B CDL classes from Arlington, which use a driving range in Irving, though STVT’s site does not list CDL here. Of the 2022 first-time, full-time cohort, 82% graduated within 150% of normal time.

Strayer University

The Dallas Fort Worth campus is on Ballpark Way in Arlington, Texas; Middle States approved the move of the North Dallas campus from Farmers Branch to this site on 26 February 2026. The Fort Worth site on Throckmorton Street is no longer listed. The campus is open Monday to Friday, with select in-person courses and advisors for Strayer’s online students.

Tarrant County College

TCC South is the college’s main skilled-trades campus. It teaches HVAC/R at every level, Toyota T-TEN, automotive collision repair, the diesel technician certificate, Electrical Line Technician (lineworker) training, welding, pipefitting, CADD and CNC machining, ACCE-accredited Construction Management Technology and Game, Simulation & Animation Design. Its health awards are Medical Assistant and Patient Care Technician, shared with Trinity River Campus East. South also hosts Child Development, with a child-care studio, and its campus page mentions the college’s bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.

Trinity River Campus East is TCC’s health-sciences building and part of the Trinity River campus. Most of the college’s nursing and allied health programs are taught here: the Associate Degree Nursing (RN) and Vocational Nursing programs, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Surgical Technology, Respiratory Care and Central Sterile Processing. Medical Assistant and Patient Care Technician run here and at TCC South. Dental and emergency medical services programs are at TCC Northeast instead.

The main TCC Trinity River building teaches the Ophthalmic Technician program: an AAS and Ophthalmic Assistant I and II certificates, accredited by the International Council of Accreditation. This is clinical eye-testing work under an ophthalmologist, not optician training. TCC Connect, the college’s online and Weekend College division, has its admissions office here. The campus’s other health programs meet at the separate Trinity River Campus East building on East Belknap Street.

TCC Northwest runs the college’s Public Safety Training Center, home to the Basic Fire Academy certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, the Fire Protection Technology AAS and a Law Enforcement Training Facility. Other career programs on the Marine Creek campus include Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Occupational Safety & Environmental Technology, Horticulture and Human Resources Management. Northwest’s aviation, transportation and logistics center at Alliance Airport is listed separately.

The Erma C. Johnson Hadley Northwest Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation & Logistics sits at Alliance Airport and belongs to TCC Northwest. It teaches Aviation Maintenance Technology (airframe and powerplant), Professional Pilot, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Nondestructive Inspection and Testing, and welding. Aviation maintenance has a waitlist of about a year. Since April 2026 the building also houses the Alliance Employer Hub, run with Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County. Corporate Solutions employer training is on the third floor.

TCC Southeast is the college’s Arlington campus and the home of its culinary program: the Culinary Arts AAS and the Culinary Arts I and Baking and Pastry certificates. The Catering/Private Chef certificate taught here closed to new students on 1 September 2026. Human Resources Management classes also meet at Southeast.

Texas School of Phlebotomy

Students choose morning or evening class times but no online or hybrid options exist due to the need for supervised practice. Total tuition and fees amount to $1,250 per program, covering supplies, materials, and textbooks. The school holds a Certificate of Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission, and externships are not required under state regulations, though students may inquire about clinical opportunities.

CHCP’s Dallas campus on Stemmons Freeway expanded to 27,000 square feet in 2023 and added Surgical Technology and Pharmacy Technician programs. It also teaches Dental Assistant, Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing & Coding and the Health & Medical Administrative Services degree.

CHCP Fort Worth offers a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and Cardiovascular Sonography. It also teaches Ophthalmic Assistant, Dental Assistant, Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing & Coding and Pharmacy Technician.

The Culinary School of Fort Worth

Students pick a daily schedule of 8:00 AM–1:00 PM or 4:00 PM–9:00 PM and complete a two‑month externship at one of 50+ partner restaurants. Tuition is $21,854.87 for all students, and total costs—including kits, textbooks, and housing—can reach about $39,867. Classes remain small (maximum 20 students) to ensure personalized instruction, and the school holds ACCET accreditation. Graduates may transfer 59 credit hours to Escoffier’s online Associate of Occupational Studies in Culinary Arts program.

Tulsa Welding School

The Dallas Metro campus in Irving opened in 2023 as a branch of the Tulsa campus. It teaches Professional Welder, the AAS in Welding Inspection & Quality Management, Refrigeration Technologies and Electrical Technologies, in a 16,000-square-foot training building and a 20,000-square-foot lab with 100 welding booths. ACCSC named it a School of Excellence for 2025-26. Its Electrical Lineworker and Advanced Industrial Maintenance programs have been discontinued.

UEI College

United Education Institute Dallas was announced in November 2024 and held its first class start on 30 January 2025. It teaches dental assisting, electrician, HVAC, medical assisting and medical billing and coding. UEI’s campus page lists ACCET as its accreditor.

UT Arlington Continuing Education

This building at 140 W. Mitchell St. is the base of UTA’s Extension and Extended Campus Division for Enterprise Development, the university’s noncredit arm, in Arlington between Dallas and Fort Worth. Its Health Careers Institute runs the in-person evening and Saturday courses in clinical medical assisting, phlebotomy, EKG, pharmacy technician, medical coding and billing with medical administration, veterinary assisting and sterile processing, plus BLS/CPR and TEAS review. OSHA safety, professional-development and personal-enrichment classes are also run from here. Course schedules list only this address, so ask which room or building a class meets in.

West Coast University

WCU’s main campus is in Richardson, serving the Dallas area, in a 100,216 sq ft building. It teaches the BSN, LVN to BSN and the Master of Physician Assistant, which holds ARC-PA Accreditation-Continued status. The Texas Board of Nursing reported a 91.39% first-time NCLEX-RN pass rate for 2024 (276 of 302). The evening-and-weekend BSN and LVN to BSN paces are not enrolling, so new nursing students take the accelerated schedule.
