Bond Wilson Technical Center

What Is It Known For?

The Central Consolidated School District saw an opportunity when Judy Nelson Elementary opened in 2017. Rather than demolish the former Grace B. Wilson Elementary building, they approached New Mexico state officials with a different plan. The state approved their request to convert the space into an early college academy center, combining the names of two former elementary schools to create Bond Wilson Technical Center.

This district initiative connects high school education with career preparation by partnering with local industries. You can take university-level courses through Navajo Technical University while staying enrolled at your home high school. The center serves students in grades 10 through 12 across more than ten distinct programs of study that blend academic coursework with hands-on learning experiences.
