What Is It Known For?
The Porter County Career Center opened its doors in 1971 through a partnership of four school corporations looking to expand career education across Porter County. Since then, the center has grown into a valuable educational resource for high school students in the area.
Today, the program welcomes juniors and seniors from all public high schools in Porter County, plus students from nearby Hobart High School, who want to gain hands-on career and technical training. While exact enrollment numbers aren’t published, the center continues to serve as a central hub for career-focused education in the region.
