Financial Aid Services
All applicants get a chance to speak with a Financial Aid representative. This provides a personal look at the types of assistance available. STVT staff can help people fill out the FAFSA as well. The form determines eligibility for federal aid. Private, state, and local funding might be an option, but it differs by campus.
Career Services
The trade school offers a variety of services that allow attendees to advance their careers. The team gives advice on writing resumes or cover letters, networking, developing soft skills, interviewing, and searching for open jobs. South Texas Vocational Technical Institute also connects with local businesses to create opportunities, and provides job placement or information about openings.
Veteran and Military Services
Depending on the location, veterans’ benefits may be available. Many of the programs at STVT are approved for former military members as well. The Texas Veterans Commission and the campuses themselves can clear up any questions about this. Admissions staff will help these students apply for aid and decide what is best.
