Omega Recording Studios started small in 1968 Kensington, Maryland with just a few studio rooms and basic equipment. Growth came steadily, transforming that modest setup into the multi-room recording facility it is today.
By 1977, The Omega Studios’ School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences opened within those same facilities to train future audio engineers. Popularity outpaced physical space quickly, leading to additional facility purchases in 1979. The move to a 20,000-square-foot complex in Rockville, Maryland happened in 1985, integrating extensive recording equipment into the curriculum.
Today, over 70 students train on industry-standard hardware.
