What Is It Known For?
AECC Career School grew out of President Carla Daniels’ long-held commitment to helping people rebuild their lives.
After years of working in college classrooms, K–12 schools, and the criminal justice system, she saw how many adults needed a realistic path toward training and employment. Adults such as veterans, individuals returning from confinement, people experiencing homelessness, and those who had slipped out of school or work.
That perspective shaped the school’s opening in September 2017 and still guides its focus on short programs that lead directly to job opportunities.

Degrees & Certifications
Several short courses run through AECC, and each one ends with a certificate. They include:
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant Program)
- CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant)
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician Program)
- Pre-Employment Job Readiness (Resume Help)
- Customer Service Program
- Business: Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Cyber Security
Program length varies, with courses ranging from about 24 hours to roughly 180 hours depending on the subject.
Class Schedules
Depending on the program, students can pick morning, afternoon, or evening sessions. Some classes meet in person while others use a hybrid format that blends online work with campus visits.
Health-related programs usually include clinical hours or externships, giving students hands-on experience before completing their certificate. Those placements help students apply what they learned in class and get a better sense of daily routines in the field.
Is It a Good School?

Reviews
Based on local Google reviews, AECC Career School is highly effective in providing supportive, fast-track training for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) careers, often resulting in significant pay increases for graduates. However, recent, detailed complaints highlight serious issues with administrative professionalism and consistency.
Overall Score: 4.8/5 Stars
Common Praises
Immediate Career and Financial Uplift: The most compelling praise is the direct result of the program: graduates reported their pay increased from $11/hour to $17-$22/hour immediately upon completion. Students emphasize that they received all the tools needed to start working immediately.
Dedicated and Supportive Instructors: The instructors are universally praised for being “amazing,” “dedicated, loving, & understanding,” and “self-explanatory.” They are noted for having real-world experience and “pushing you & want[ing] to see you succeed.”
Strong Staff and Administrative Support: Many students appreciated the directors and staff who “work with me motivate me when I felt like giving up” and made the enrollment process straightforward and quick. The school is also praised for providing “financial support” resources.
Effective Learning Environment: Students describe the courses as “DYNAMIC,” helping them “pass the state exam,” and they enjoyed the “time and bond” with classmates in a generally supportive atmosphere.
Common Criticisms
Unprofessionalism and Disorganization: The most recent, detailed review (2 weeks ago) reports a severe lack of organization and professionalism, specifically calling certain staff members “rude” and “very unprofessional.”
Inconsistent Policy and Lack of Support: A serious complaint details being “dropped at the end of the program” after being sent home sick, suggesting rigid or inconsistent application of attendance policies. Another reviewer noted a “slow intake process, lack of communication, and lack of scheduling professionalism” at the start.
Alleged Misrepresentation: A new complaint suggests the school “lied about the travel,” indicating potential issues with expectations or terms regarding clinicals or job placement support.
Momentum
The momentum is mixed. The school has a historically strong, positive track record (evidenced by the high overall score and numerous 5-star reviews from over the last few years) of producing employed and successful graduates. However, the most recent, detailed feedback (within the last few months) has been sharply negative, pointing to significant, current internal issues with organization, communication, and professionalism that contradict the school’s long-standing reputation for being supportive. The owner is highly active in responding to all reviews, which shows engagement, but the substance of the newest complaints suggests operational problems need to be addressed.
