Trade school is one of the fastest routes into a well-paid, in-demand career. Many programs take months rather than years, cost far less than a four-year degree, and train you for work that can’t be outsourced.
This guide covers everything you need to decide whether trade school is right for you and how to get started: what trade schools are, what they cost, how to pay for them, and the careers they lead to. Whether you’re finishing high school, changing careers, or returning to school after time in the workforce, start with the section that matches where you are.

About this guide
Why “Next Student”? NextStudent.com was a student aid website that helped families with the FAFSA, student loans, loan consolidation and scholarship searches before it closed. Best-Trade-Schools.net brought those resources together with our own trade school research and updated them for today’s trade school students. We kept the name because we like the idea: you could be the next student to find success through a trade.
