Delta College of Arts & Technology was founded in December 1983 as the Communication Arts Training School. Initially focused on providing quality art instruction in the Baton Rouge area, it later expanded. In 1992, the college acquired the Louisiana Art Institute and continued to operate under that name. Since then, Delta College has broadened its offerings to include programs in medical, dental, nursing, and business fields.
Currently, the college serves a total of 287 students across its four campuses.
