East Ohio College traces its roots back to 1886 when John Sant established the Ohio Valley Business College in East Liverpool, Ohio. Sant managed and directed the institution through its early years until 1889, after which the school evolved through various ownership changes and program expansions. This long history of adaptation continued into the modern era when the college underwent a significant rebranding.
On January 1, 2022, the institution adopted its current name of East Ohio College to better represent its expanded online program offerings and broader geographic reach.
