What Is It Known For?
Lindenwood University, located in Saint Charles, Missouri, has a fascinating history that dates back to the early 19th century. While many believed the school was founded in 1827, recent research shows it actually began in 1832. Mary Easton Sibley and George Sibley played a central role in its establishment, moving to St. Charles in 1828, constructing the first building in 1829, and finally opening the school three years later.
