Oregon Culinary Institute (OCI) offers two programs, Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry. Through hands-on training, students learn the art of cooking, baking, and managing a restaurant. Located in Portland, the institution is a part of the local food culture.
Applicants can choose between diploma programs or full-time degree tracks. Experienced industry professionals teach each class. After completing their courses, graduates will be ready for careers working in restaurants. Classes take place during the week or on weekends, offering flexibility to fit into busy schedules.

Financial Aid Services
Applying for financial assistance at Oregon Culinary Institute begins with the FAFSA. Financial aid officers guide students through the application process. OCI accepts federal and private grants or loans. The school also provides scholarships and payment plans to those who qualify.
Student Services
To offer a hands-on experience, OCI has a student-run restaurant. There, attendees help create menus, pick ingredients, and cook meals. They also work as servers, cooks, and bakers. Oregon Culinary Institute plans group field trips to local farms and businesses, as well.
Alumni Services
Across the country, Oregon Culinary Institute graduates become chefs, or fill a variety of roles in the industry, across the country. A private Facebook page helps current students connect with alumni. This gives them an opportunity to find job openings and support.
