What Is It Known For?

Taylor College started in 1999 as the Professional Health Training Academy in Central Florida. The school focused on healthcare education from the beginning and earned accreditation from the Council on Occupational Education in 2006. Two years later, it changed its name to Taylor College to reflect its growing mission. The Belleview Campus opened that same year, and by 2010, the college added associate degree programs and blended learning options to give students more flexibility.

In 2014, Taylor College partnered with HCP Taylor Holdings, Inc. and became a private institution under Florida law. The school prepares students for entry-level healthcare careers through hands-on technical training. Programs now run between 9 and 24 months for both diploma and associate degree options. Taylor College enrolled 216 students in 2023, and the school expects similar enrollment numbers each year.
