Universal Technical Institute

In the Airframe & Powerplant program, which spans 18 months, students delve into aircraft troubleshooting, pneumatics, and turbine engines, equipping them with vast technical skills crucial for success in aviation maintenance. UTI’s Automotive Technician program on the Avondale campus, which has a duration of 51 weeks, addresses everything from vehicle electronic technology and suspension systems to diagnostics, enabling students to complete an Associate’s degree and become ASE certified while undergoing a full-depth education that equips them with the skills, knowledge, and certifications necessary for success. The Avondale, Arizona campus also boasts Diesel Mechanic Training coursework: the program takes 45 weeks to complete and features courses on truck brake systems and chassis, engine service and repair, and diesel-hydraulic systems. Graduates of the Diesel Mechanic Training program earn either diplomas or Associate’s degrees depending on the pathway they choose to complete. The fourth program offered on UTI’s Avondale campus covers HVAC/R and welding training, addressing vent system selection and installation, air handling and hydraulics, and duct fabrication. 

Beyond the institution’s extensive program offerings, the Avondale campus features 38 labs available to students and workshops and events for prospective students and minorities in technical fields.
