Arizona College of Nursing
The Milwaukee campus on West Chester Street holds “Authority to Admit” status from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and is approved by the state’s Educational Approval Program. It opened after a contested city approval process: the Plan Commission rejected it in February 2024 and the Common Council approved it on 11 June 2024. CCNE notification is pending, and it has no graduates yet. Tuition is $830 per credit, or $99,600 for 120 credits (2026–27).

Aveda Institutes
The Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness Milwaukee, on East St. Paul Avenue, teaches 1,600-hour cosmetology, 600-hour esthiology, 1,000-hour Ayurveda esthetics, 750-hour massage therapy, 300-hour manicuring and a 150-hour instructor program. It reported 95.24% licensure for its 2022 massage graduates.

Empire Beauty Schools
Empire’s Milwaukee campus, on South 27th Street, teaches 1,550-hour cosmetology ($21,193) and 600-hour esthetics ($8,385), per its page in September 2026. It is the only Wisconsin campus with esthetics. Its 2024 NACCAS disclosure shows 68.47% graduation, 67.57% placement and 71.93% licensure.

Milwaukee Area Technical College
The Downtown Milwaukee Campus at 700 West State Street is MATC’s main campus and teaches most of its health programs, among them registered and practical nursing, radiography, respiratory therapy, dental hygiene, sonography, surgical technology, anesthesia technology, occupational therapy assistant, pharmacy technician and phlebotomy. It is also home to the ABA-approved paralegal degree, culinary arts and baking, cosmetology and barber, and the Welding Technology degree. Its buildings are linked by skywalks, more than six MCTS bus routes serve it, and the Military Education Support office is in Room S115C.
The Walker’s Square Education Center at 816 W National Avenue is part of the Downtown Milwaukee Campus and, in MATC’s words, serves students in the heart of Milwaukee’s Hispanic/Latino/a community. The Welding Technology associate degree, which can be taken in Spanish, lists the center as a location. The center’s own page names no other programs.
The MATC Aviation Center at 422 E College Avenue in Milwaukee is the aircraft maintenance site of the Oak Creek Campus. It teaches the FAA Part 147 sequence: the Aviation Maintenance Technician – General certificate first, then the Airframe and Powerplant technical diplomas. The General certificate starts each fall with 32 seats, and the college lists a waiting list of about two and a half years.
